Excellent lunch and service! Can't wait to come back and try breakfast especially the French toast and their version of millionaire bacon.

Delicious Omelettes! Love Fred's Coffee Shop omelettes for breakfast. It gets a little crowded on the weekends but is well worth the wait. It is a nice place to go during the week for breakfast and lunch and the view is nice.

OMG the best breakfast I've had in a long time! Came across this place at random and decided to give it a try. Ordered the iced tea and it was delicious. I had the Fred's bacon and I've never had bacon this good before! My mom had the eggs Benedict and she said it was very good. My scrambled eggs were light and fluffy, absolutely no complaints. I will be back soon

Out of three meals a day, breakfast is usually the one I least enjoy. We were visiting the area, looking for a local breakfast spot and came across Fred's Coffee Shop on Yelp. Given my name is Fred, my wife insisted we give it a try. We sat outside, enjoying the fresh air, the marina across the street, and NO HUMIDITY. We are from Florida. We had a platter of eggs, well done hash browns, pancakes and french toast. I have never had such great french toast.... unbelievable. The pancakes were fantastic! Hash browns done exactly as requested. Service was slow, but the server kept apologizing. With the quality... and quantity of food, well worth the wait.

This is my favorite place. I have breakfast in Marin county it's filled with a combination of tourist and locals with a big breakfast menu. That also includes lunch items. Their egg dishes are extremely light and fluffy because they blend the eggs before they use them. I usually order something that I would not normally make eggs Benedict, which is my go to favorite, friendly staff, which is great and they have community tables too if you're by yourself so you could talk to your neighbor. Weekends can be kind of busy and you might have to wait a bit for a table, but that's not for long.

Fred's Coffee Shop is a quaint diner in Sausalito, CA. The restaurant seems popular, so you'll want to plan ahead when you visit. There is a good chance that you will have to wait in line for a table. I must have been lucky because my husband and I arrived on a Sunday morning and were quickly seated at a table inside the restaurant (there is also outdoor seating available). Our waiter greeted us and took our drink orders while we perused the menu. We soon placed our breakfast orders, I ordered oatmeal and my husband ordered Fat Fred, which is deep fried french toast, and eggs on the side. Our food arrived very quickly; the gentleman at the grill was lightning fast! My oatmeal came with brown sugar, cream and craisins. It was your basic, run-of-the-mill oatmeal - decent but nothing too exciting. My husband, however, raved about the french toast and the eggs. He said, "These are the fluffiest eggs I've ever had!" The portions are huge, so come to the diner hungry. Our waiter was attentive and accommodating. I appreciated his happily giving me a to-go cup for my Earl Grey tea. If you're looking for a great place to eat with plenty of atmosphere, friendly patrons and staff, stop at Fred's Coffee Shop the next time you're in the Sausalito area.

I seldom eat lunch in restaurants but I had to check out the breakfast places in Sausalito. This place doesn't look too flashy on the street, and it's not located in the midst touristy part of town. I really wouldn't have noticed it had someone not told me about it saying it's where the locals go. I was also told the sweet bacon is a must try. Well I wasn't disappointed, I ordered the ham and cheese omelet and it was really something special. The omelet had a really lovely creamy texture and everything was cooked prefectly. The sweet bacon was lovely and yes it really is a must try.
